Your own little house in the heart of Lyons
Located on the edge of the river Saône, in the center district and 10 minutes away from the Place des Terreaux, the Opera and the Old Town, charming sunny little house, former annex of a nunnery, with its private terrace with an open view on Fourvière…
For a charming stay surrounded by trees and gardens right in the heart of Lyons, we’re offering our little private house (around 35 m2, 377 sq ft), located on a height, above the river Saône, just nearby the Subsistances (Beaux-Arts school and cultural center). The house is at the entrance of our property, on the other side of our garden, and has its own private terrace oriented South, from which you have a clear view on the Fourvière Cathedral . You’ll find, on the ground floor, the kitchen directly on the terrace and toilets. On the First floor, there is a living room, an independent room and the shower room.
The Muette street, where it is located, is a short impasse which is continued by stairs climbing towards the Croix-Rousse and the Chartreux Parc (just a minute away), from where you can admire a view on the whole city with, when the weather is clear, the Alps on the background. Lyons’ hyper-center (Terraux, Opera or Old Town) is just a 10 minutes-walk away. You can catch a bus just a few steps from our place, but it’s even better to use the bran new “Saône decks promenade” that the City just finished.
On the first floor, the room is equipped with a real bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers renewed by Cécile. The living room is small, but very charming, with a convertible sofa, a free Internet access and television. Its windows open on the Fourvière Hill for one, on a garden for the other. The room has also a shower room right beside it. On the ground floor, you’ll find the toilets and a kitchen which opens directly on your private sunny terrace (around 15 m2, 160 sq ft). The kitchen is fully equipped, except for dishwasher.
Pets are welcomed. At last, for those found of sports, a small sports room is available, as well as the possibility to borrow kayaks for a nice tourist trip around Lyon on the river Saône or on the Rhône…
Les animaux sont les bienvenus. Enfin, pour les sportifs, une (petite) salle de sport sera à votre disposition, tout comme le prêt éventuel de kayaks pour une petite balade dans Lyon au fil de l’eau…

The "big plus" of this place is to be on a quiet and "green" environment so close from Lyons hypercenter (the Opera, the Place des terreaux, the Croix Rousse and the Old Town are all within a ten minutes' walk away). On the background of thje saône docks and right below of a nice parc (Parc des Chartreux) you'll be preserved from most of the usual city noises... You will also be right next from the Subsistances, which is the Beaux-Arts School and one of the best cultural events place in the city, as well as its restaurant, Quai des Arts, which has a great view on the river and probably the best brunches in town.
The Opera, the Beaux-Arts Museum, the Old town, its typical restaurants (Bouchons) and its "traboules" (secret ways towards buildings to go from one street to another...) are all a few minutes away, walking along the river...
